my spouse AP was approved last friday also from NSC and we recd the document just yesterday.

Last week friday my advance parole document from NSC was approved & sent , but we have not received the approved document yet.
Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the AP document once it's approved? We have a travel plan sometime next week.

EB 3 India..PD 03/24/2006. EAD approved-10/28/07; AP-01/09 , also same for the derivatives too..I-140 approved 09/13/2007, Also FP done..in OCT.

I mean stay on L1A (7 Year) with existing company. Apply green card through company B OR any other (For applying grren card, you don't need to be employee of that firm). Switch job as soon as you get I140 (premium process) approved from B company. If everything goes well, One year is enough to get I140 approval through premium process.

Hi:
I have H1b renewed on the basis of pending AOS application (EB3 june04) till 2012 and also ead/ap based on my spouse's AOS application. I am going to India on a vacation soon for a month or two. Recently I have heard many horror stories that even stamped H1B is getting rejected in POE. My question is that if something like that happen to me at the POE can I invoke my unused EAD/AP and request entry based on that? The reason I don't want to simply go back is because I have a house here in USA and a mortgage that I continue to be paying to keep the house.

Never heard of anyone with proper papers getting into trouble (ie. the H1 is for a valid job, and in your case (where you are returning to continue employment) you have recent paystubs etc.
There were some rumors about people working for some body-shopping companies getting into trouble because they did not know who the client was, and what work they would do.
Check with a lawyer for the second part of your question, though my understanding is that you can still request to be admitted based on the pending 485 filed on your spouses job. The only kink is if your H1 entrance is denied because they suspect fraud, then I dont know how it plays out on the AP/EAD.

As we reported yesterday, the subcommittee debated this bill and approved this bill for the full Judiciary Committee action of the House yesterday. A small positive news on the immigration legislation!

The OPT 17 month extension rule ran into problems barely a month after it was introduced. The anti-immigrant groups constantly send faxes, emails and snail mail constantly to stop immigrant bills from passing. This frightens the senators and house representatives because they think that majority of United States citizens are agains't immigrant bills while an average United States citizen does not the know the difference between green card and H1 B clearly, leave alone opposing highly skilled immigrant bills.
USCIS makes tons of mistakes but it will try to repeal mistakes if it believes that it has made an error. The CSPA new regulations is an example of USCIS accepting and rectifying its mistakes.

The AC21 act gave an additional visa number pool of approx 130,000 visa numbers which were actually unused EB visa numbers from 1999 and 2000. This is a reserve visa pool that could be used for future fiscal years. HOW CAN A RESERVE POOL BE USED WHEN THERE WERE UNUSED VISA NUMBERS FROM 2000 TO 2005?

Instead of making USCIS doing an audit we can do the audit ourselves and inform USCIS that there are still immigrant visa numbers left from the AC21 act. The good thing about this reserve visa numbers is that they can be rolled over to the the future years. So we can get them issued for the years 2008 and 2009.
I think this is the only solution to our saga.

There have been cases reported in past on this forum where the PERM approval was lost in mail.
You should ask your employer to download the PERM approval from DOL ETA website, which should be completed and signed by both you and your employer (similar to the PERM paper approval that you did not receive).
Your lawyer should submit this form with I-140 and also request USCIS to obtain a duplicate copy of PERM approval from DOL. This may help.
Are you porting to EB2?

Isn't it the employer's responsibilty to file new LCA when I was assigned to another project in another state?
If my employer has not done that for me, then does it still affect my chances of getting my H1 stamped. Means I am not at fault, my employer is.

It's a bit of a pain to use... it shows up every flaw in my technique. I can't get away with some of the handholding sloppiness that I could with the D1. ;)
My only comparisons are the D1 and the D70, the former which I owned, and the latter which I used several times for several hours each. The D200 is definitely of a professional build, unlike the D70, but [speculation warning!] not quite as good as the D2 series. For a mixture of landscape and macro, with a bit of event photography thrown in (the latter being all that I've been able to do with it so far), it's everything I could have hoped for, and more.
Sadly, I haven't made any prints from it yet (partly due to not having time to shoot something that I consider worth wasting ink on), but I don't think that the resolution is going to be a problem for anything that the average amateur would want. It is even possible to crop a bit without worries. I anticipate that it will get a lot of use over spring break, and after that time I hope to write something to post to the user-contributed reviews section of the site. :)
